Egyptian archaeologists have unearthed the tombs of workers who constructed the great pyramids, revealing how they lived nearly 4,000 years ago.

British history and science writer Andrew Collins claims to have found the lost underworld of the pharaohs -- a vast system of caves, chambers and tunnels that had been hidden in the limestone bedrock beneath the pyramid field at Giza.

The culture ministry said on Tuesday, that maintenance workers at Egypt's Giza Pyramids have found an ancient quartzite statue of a seated man buried close to the surface of the desert.
