ENTRANCES to Glasgow Subway stations are to be reinforced to prevent terrorist attacks at city centre locations. Transport bosses want to make sure there is no repeat of last summer 's scenes at Glasgow Airport when workers foiled an attempt to drive a blazing car into the terminal building.
WHEN it comes to siting car park entrances/exits, I'm afraid Glasgow has a history of bad decisions. Look at the Glasshouse Car Park in congested Glassford Street - it would have been far more sensible to have the entrance/exit in Hutcheson Street.
BARRY Shelby says I am mistaken and that New York City subway system operates "24/7", ie, is in constant operation (Letters, December 18). It is true to say that the system has that reputation.
