Napo Pharmaceuticals has announced positive results from a successfully completed Phase II trial for crofelemer for the treatment of acute adult infectious diarrhea, conducted by its partner, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.

Eli Lilly has entered into an agreement with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals to acquire the rights to a portfolio of potential pain molecules, including a compound in clinical development.

Mumbai-based Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has received FDA approval to market pravastatin sodium tablets 10mg, 20mg and 40mg, a generic version of Bristol-Myers Squibb's statin Pravachol. Pravachol, a cholesterol-lowering drug, has annual sales of over $861 million, according to Glenmark.

Indian company Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has received FDA approval for ondansetron hydrochloride tablets that treat nausea and vomiting. Ondansetron tablets are the generic version of GlaxoSmithKline's Zofram tablets.
