TRANSPORT minister Rosie Winterton has praised a North-East bus partnership. Gateshead Council, Nexus and Go North East are working together to ensure all services in the borough have accessible, lowfloor vehicles with on-board CCTV.

UK bus operator Go North East is piloting a scheme to ditch paper tickets and allow passengers to use their cell phones instead. By texting 60060, passengers will immediately be sent a reply, which serves as their valid ticket.
