By Anick Jesdanun Associated Press NEW YORK - Google Inc., expanding its efforts at providing software that helps users create and post their own materials on the Internet, has acquired a California startup that develops online collaboration tools known as wikis.

SAN JOSE, Calif. _ Google has acquired JotSpot, a Palo Alto, Calif., company that makes Web site pages called wikis, for an undisclosed amount, according to statements released Tuesday by both companies.
