A London hospital worker says he was so determined to get to work this week that he walked 18 miles during a blizzard. Radiographer Peter Cartwright said his 54-mile journey from his home in the county of Kent to Guy's Hospital in London took him eight-and-a-half hours to complete, The Daily Mail said Wednesday. Cartwright said despite taking two trains and receiving two car rides for part of his journey Monday, he was still forced to walk a third of the way to the hospital. The radiographer had not been home since the blizzard, choosing instead to stay at Guy's Hospital rather than face another harrowing commute in the snow. Cartwright, 52, said that his 18-mile walk in the snow was not that terrible. I like walking, I was warm and had food on me, so I was fine, he told The Daily Mail.
