British archaeologists used thousands of aerial photos to reveal more than 2,700 unrecorded historic features of Hadrian’s Wall in northern England.

SOME of the region's wildlife-rich fields are in danger of being lost forever. Over the past 60 years, a staggering 97% of Britain's wildflower grasslands and meadows have been destroyed.

A TOURIST website advertising a Northumberland village was closed after hackers infiltrated it with pornographic material. Surfers logging on to the site for Corbridge were shocked to find a page named "Cor bridge" offering "some of the horniest sex numbers on the web".

A bus which serves Hadrian's Wall will be back in action next week. The AD122 bus service was crowned Best Bus in the Countryside in 2006 at the UK Bus Awards will be brought back into service for a longer period this year from April 6 - October 28 compared to last year's May 27 - October 1.
