New York Yankees co-owner and executive Hal Steinbrenner has married his longtime girlfriend in Florida, sources say. The unidentified sources, along with two wedding registries, indicated Steinbrenner, son of longtime Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, married Christina DiTullio Saturday, the New York Post reported Sunday.
Former principal owner George Steinbrenner appeared Thursday at the New York Yankees' Tampa, Fla., spring training complex, New York newspapers reported. His appearance was noted by both the New York Post and the New York Daily News. Because of his declining health, the 78-year-old Steinbrenner has been seen only twice since he turned the Yankees management over to sons Hank and Hal in 2008. Last season, he attended Opening Day in April and the All-Star Game in July.
