Pleas (Havlickuv Brod, Czech Republic), textile firm, will close its two plants in Chotebor and Caslav with a total of over 200 employees as of 30 Nov 2008. Pleas, the largest Czech underclothes manufacturer, closed its three other plants in 2008.

A 30-year-old male nurse confessed to killing 11 patients in a western Czech hospital by injecting them with lethal doses of improper medicines, doctors said.
