Police in Hempstead, N.Y., searched Tuesday for the mother of a newborn girl found in a gym bag. Lt. Vincent Montera said police got a call at about 11 p.m. Monday giving the baby's location, Newsday reported. Officers who responded found the baby in a black Polo gym bag.
