At high noon tomorrow Gordon Knight will be standing on the steps of the Cambridge Town Hall surrounded by hopeful people. With him will be Waipa Mayor Alan Livingston and Hospice Waikato board chairman Richard Small.

Hospice Waikato is holding an open day at its new premises on Saturday. The organisation, which cares for the terminally ill, is this week launching a fundraising campaign to raise $7 million to refurbish the former Hillcrest Lodge on Cobham Dr, Hamilton.

Hospice Waikato is just days away from taking possession of an iconic Hamilton building for its permanent home.
