The Dodgers had a four-game winning streak snapped and they lost at home for only the fourth time in 21 games. Both teams scored a run in the fourth and it remained deadlocked until the Angels struck against reliever Cory Wade (0-3). Kendry Morales opened the eighth with a single and moved to second on an infield hit by Gary Matthews. Morales was forced at third on a futile sacrifice attempt by Howie Kendrick and Maicer Izturis drew a walk to load the bases.
Joe Saunders and two relievers combined on a six-hitter Wednesday, carrying the Los Angeles Angels to a 3-0 win over Seattle. Saunders (6-2), who allowed a season-high seven runs in his previous outing, threw 101 pitches while giving up four hits over seven innings.
