A Private hospital in Cottingham has been bought by the NHS in a multi-million pound deal, the Mail can reveal. Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has taken over the Hull Nuffield Hospital in the grounds of Castle Hill.

THOUSANDS of people across Hull and East Yorkshire are being urged to sign up to get a bigger say in the running of their local hospitals. Hull Royal Infirmary, Castle Hill Hospital and the soon-to-close Princess Royal Hospital yesterday unveiled plans to bid for foundation status.
