The Diamondbacks opened a 10-game, four-city trip by losing their sixth in a row. Oswalt (7-4) ended a steak of four straight no-decisions with a 100-pitch effort.

Carlos Lee put Houston in front with a two-run homer in the fourth Thursday and the Astros held Florida to four hits in downing the Marlins 4-1. It was the first time in 16 games Florida had not recorded at least 10 hits.

Hunter Pence hit two three-run homers Wednesday and Houston produced 16 hits in its 14-6 win over Florida. Lance Berkman celebrated his return from the disabled list Wednesday by driving in a run in each of the first two innings, and Houston went on to halt Florida's five-game winning streak. The Marlins fell back into a second-place tie with streaking Atlanta, 4 1/2 games behind division-leading Philadelphia in the National League East. Houston took early control with a five-run first.
