Tropical Storm Felicia is closing in on the Hawaiian Island chain and its center is now expected to pass just north of the big island before moving through the islands Tuesday and Wednesday.

Felicia is the storm that rules the Eastern Pacific Ocean this week, but Enrique refuses to give up.

Schools and businesses across Hawaii's Big Island remained shut down as Hurricane Flossie turned the seas into roiling giant surf, though the storm was losing strength.

Hours after getting jolted by a moderate earthquake, residents of Hawaii's Big Island holed up for a different force of nature Tuesday: Hurricane Flossie, expected to deliver up to 10 inches of rain, waves as high as 25 feet and strong winds in a powerful but glancing blow.
