Hydro Tasmania has announced that it is selling its telecommunications business to Transend Networks, for $14.5 million. The deal includes a long-term agreement for these telecommunications services to be provided back to Hydro Tasmania by Transend.

Australian electricity generator Hydro Tasmania has revealed that, following the West Coast Council's decision to approve the demolition of the existing pipeline at its Lake Margaret power station, the company will endeavor to construct a woodstave replacement pipeline.
