Breakaway Abkhazia may demand striking a fresh balance with Georgia in terms of the distribution of the energy generated by the Inguri hydro-electric power plant, a Georgian newspaper has said.

TBILISI. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Georgian Finance Minister Nika Gilauri has said the Abkhaz authorities have no rights to the assets of the Inguri hydroelectric power plant.

MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Russian peacekeepers have taken the Inguri Hydroelectric Plant under their protection to prevent possible terrorist attacks, said Russian General Staff Deputy chief Anatoly Nogovitsyn.
