By Judy Harrison, Bangor Daily News, Maine Jul. 30--BANGOR, Maine -- The Houlton couple arrested Monday on drug charges on Interstate 95 by Orono police have been released from the Penobscot County Jail on $5,000 unsecured bail apiece.

LEWISTON - A plan to clean up a winding waterway in the center of Lewiston will get a public review June 24.

JAY - Jonathan LaBonte, executive director of the Androscoggin Land Trust, will speak to the Jay-Livermore-Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting June 6 at LaFleurs Restaurant in Jay. The meeting will begin at 7 a.m. The public is invited.

By Aimee Dolloff, Bangor Daily News, Maine Mar. 26--ORONO, Maine -- A recently announced conservation grant will protect 3,800 acres of wetlands, adjacent uplands and more than three miles of shoreline in the greenway corridor north of Bangor Mall extending to Hirundo Wildlife Refuge in Hudson.

It's not as if there's been a lack of planning. Restructuring tolls that would be used to pay for a widening project on the Maine Turnpike is under consideration. Plans to add lanes and improve entrance and exit ramps on Interstate 295 are on the drawing board.
