By MILNE, Amy MAINLAND AIR has pulled the pin on its new Dunedin-to- Invercargill flights because of a lack of demand and high fuel costs. However, the company said it had no plans to cease its Queenstown and Alexandra flights.

By MILNE, Amy PACIFIC BLUE remains tight-lipped on whether it will announce flights to Invercargill and Dunedin as part of a ramp up of its domestic network by introducing a new aircraft.

AN ANNOUNCEMENT on whether budget airline Pacific Blue will fly into Invercargill has still not been made. The Christchurch-based Australian airline added main trunk domestic services to its trans-Tasman operation in November.
