University of Iowa football Coach Kirk Ferentz has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him coaching the Hawkeyes through 2015. Iowa Director of Athletics Gary Barta announced the deal Thursday.

By Marla Ridenour, The Akron Beacon Journal, Ohio Jan. 21--COLUMBUS -- A ranked foe isn't on the horizon until Feb. 25, but Ohio State had plenty of motivation Saturday night against Iowa. Fortunately for the Buckeyes, they also had Greg Oden.

Freshman Greg Oden hit 12-of-13 shots Saturday night, powering the seventh-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes to an 82-63 Big Ten win over the Iowa Hawkeyes. Oden piled up a season-best 29 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in helping the Buckeyes (16-3, 4-1) to their sixth win in seven games.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Next week Nick Saban can start worrying about how to beat the New England Patriots. His immediate concern is the Iowa Hawkeyes.
