By Jacqueline Charles, The Miami Herald Sep. 5--Jamaica's Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller finally conceded defeat in this week's tight election, though she said her party might still challenge the results of some parliamentary races.

Jamaica's main opposition won a close election victory Monday, according to preliminary results, but the prime minister said the results were still too close to call and the ruling party was not ready to concede defeat.
