The NBA has suspended Phoenix Suns guard Jason Richardson for two games without pay after his guilty plea to driving under the influence. The DUI violated Arizona state law. His guilty plea followed an arrest for DUI last December, nine days after he was acquired from the Charlotte Bobcats. The Arizona Republic said the 6-foot-6 inch Richardson had been suspended by the Suns for a game without pay on Feb.

Steve Nash put on a 29-point show Friday that helped the Phoenix Suns dominate the second half en route to a 139-111 victory over Sacramento. The Suns took advantage of a loss by Dallas earlier in the evening to move within three games of the Mavericks for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Shaquille O'Neal, Jason Richardson and Steve Nash combined for 75 points Wednesday, leading Phoenix to a 126-116 win over Philadelphia. The Suns climbed within four games of idle Dallas in the race for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. O'Neal made 12-of-18 shots from the field and scored 26 points with 11 rebounds.

Jason Richardson had 31 points and the Phoenix Suns shot a deadly 62.1 percent from the field Sunday night in a 154-130 win over Golden State. Richardson hit 11-of-15 shots from the floor against his former teammates, and Matt Barnes -- also a former Warrior -- had 20 points, 11 assists and six rebounds for the Suns, who posted the highest scoring total in the NBA this season to win their second straight game after dropping six in a row. Shaquille O'Neal led the Suns with 26 points and Leandro Barbosa scored 21 for Phoenix, which fell to four games back of Dallas for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff berth. The Warriors lost for the first time in their last three games and were eliminated from playoff contention. The Suns and the Warriors came out gunning and scored a combined 146 points in the first half, which ended with Phoenix ahead 74-72.

Boris Diaw hit a 3-pointer with 2 seconds remaining Friday night, giving the Charlotte Hornets a 112-109 win over Golden State. Charlotte entered the NBA in the 2004-05 season and until this week had never won in either Sacramento or Oakland.
