BRUSSELS. Aug 5 (Interfax) - Brussels is expecting a response from the Iranian administration following yesterday's telephone conversation between EU Supreme Commissioner on Foreign Policy and Security Xavier Solana and Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili.

By George Jahn Associated Press GENEVA -- A U.S. decision to bend policy and sit down with Iran at nuclear talks fizzled Saturday, with Iran stonewalling Washington and five other world powers on their call to freeze uranium enrichment.

GENEVA, Switzerland _ World powers Saturday gave Iran two weeks to agree to freeze its uranium enrichment program at its current size as a first step toward full-scale negotiations on its nuclear program, or face further U.N. sanctions and isolation.
