The Virginian-Pilot Memorial services for U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Davis will be held Wednesday and Thursday and will be open to members of the public, her office said Sunday evening. The Republican lawmaker died at her Gloucester home Saturday after fighting breast cancer for two years.

Republican U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Davis, who represented southeastern Virginia for seven years, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. This year, she suffered a recurrence.
