Matt Palmer gave up a single to the game's first batter Wednesday and Los Angeles Angels' pitchers did not allow another hit in blanking Texas 5-0. Julio Borbon singled off Palmer to open the contest and was promptly thrown out trying to steal second.

Rajai Davis hit a two-run single to tie the game in the seventh inning Saturday in Oakland's comeback, 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Davis, who went 3-for-5, poked the single to center to tie the game at 3.

Kendry Morales highlighted a seven-run seventh inning with a three-run homer Friday, rallying the Los Angeles Angels past Oakland 11-7. Morales hit two home runs and had six RBI in helping Los Angeles break out of an offensive slump. The Angels appeared headed for what would have been their seventh

Matt Palmer and three relievers held Kansas City to four hits Friday and the Los Angeles Angels downed Kansas City 4-1 to end the Royals' six-game win streak. Palmer (3-0) gave up a run on two hits over 5 1/3 innings and then got relief help from Darren Oliver, Jose Arredondo and Brian Fuentes.
