NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As the African Diaspora International Film Festival enters its last week, the focus is on women. The selection will include films and documentaries about strong and resilient women. The festival runs until December 14 in New York City.

WASHINGTON Josephine Baker looks straight at you with bright eyes and a shining smile, fearless and demanding attention. Baker's movie is one of five recalled on a set of U.S. postage stamps being released today to honor vintage black cinema.

The U.S. Postal Service says it will offer a series of stamps highlighting the African-American cultural experience through vintage publicity posters. The 42-cent commemorative first-class stamps are to be dedicated Wednesday at the Newark Museum in Newark, N.J., during the Black Film Festival.
