THE Web site juicycampus.com - which posts anonymous gossip about college students and professors by name - boasts that it was "founded on August 1, 2007 with the simple mission of enabling online anonymous free speech on college campuses." Call it a modern view of free speech - all the privilege and none of the responsibility.
The anonymous gossip site JuicyCampus.com is spreading "malignant and malicious falsehoods" about Yale University students on its message board, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal charged Friday.
JuicyCampus.com, the Web site with the slogan ‘Always anonymous, always Juicy,’ has been served a subpoena by New Jersey prosecutors citing its inability to regulate some user-submitted content which is hateful and offensive.
