Israel killed seven Hamas militants in a series of airstrikes after the group detonated three vehicles packed with hundreds of kilograms of explosives at an Israeli crossing on the Gaza border. Two of the militants were killed early Sunday.

Thirteen Israeli soldiers were hurt Saturday when two cars exploded at a border crossing in Gaza, authorities said. Eight of the soldiers were taken to a hospital and the rest were treated on the scene after two jeeps disguised as Israeli military vehicles exploded, Haaretz reported.

JERUSALEM _ Israel allowed shipments of fuel, food and medicine into the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, easing a blockade that had led to the shutdown of the territory's only power plant and prompted international criticism and warnings by aid agencies of an impending health crisis.
