Ian Kinsler hit a three-run homer and Kevin Millwood limited Boston to a run over seven innings Friday, boosting Texas past the Red Sox 5-1. The Rangers won at Fenway Park for the first time in nine tries. Texas managed only an infield single off Brad Penny (5-2) through the first four innings, but broke through for four runs in the fifth. Marlon Byrd reached on a one-out, infield hit and Chris Davis singled him to second.
Kevin Millwood went 7 1/3 innings and Michael Young and Chris Davis each had a two-run homer Monday to lead the Texas Rangers to a 6-5 win over Seattle. Millwood (3-2) allowed five runs on eight hits for the Rangers, who have won three straight games. Felix Hernandez (4-1) allowed six runs on 10 hits with nine strikeouts to pick up the loss.
