The Minnesota Twins announced Monday that pitcher Kevin Slowey will undergo surgery and is expected to miss the rest of the season. Slowey has been on the disabled list since July 4 with a strained right wrist. He was trying to rehab the injury but suffered a setback Friday and was shut down.
