Text of report by private Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press news agency Khost, 6 October: The Khost airport has been attacked with rockets.

Text of report "Rockets were fired on airport in Khost" by Afghan Taleban Voice of Jihad website on 6 October [Taleban spokesman] Zabihollah Mojahed: Eight rockets were fired by the mojahedin of the Islamic Emirate on Sarabagh Airport near the centre of Khost Province at 0010 [local time] this morning.

KABUL, Afghanistan - Taliban insurgents mounted their most serious attacks in six years of fighting, one a complex attack with multiple suicide bombers on a U.S.

The French government said Tuesday 10 of its soldiers died in fighting near Kabul, while U.S. and Afghan forces killed several insurgents in other clashes.

A suicide attacker blew himself up in southeastern Khost Province this morning, on the threshold of celebrating the Independence Day, killing and injuring "a large number of" civilians, privately-owned Ariana TV observed as reporting at 0405 on 18 August.
