By Kathy Marks THE KOMODO dragon, a giant carnivorous lizard that feasts on water buffalo and occasionally even attacks humans, is disappearing from its limited habitat, zoologists have warned.

A BRITISH couple rescued from a remote Indonesian island where they were marooned with three other divers arrived back at Bali Airport today. The two talked of being swept away by strong currents, surviving 12 hours in shark-infested waters and having to fend off a giant, carnivorous lizard.

A group of European divers rescued from a small Indonesian island said they had to scare away a large Komodo dragon when they reached land. The five divers drifted 25 miles before managing to land Thursday on Rinca Island in Komodo National Park.
