Kosuke Kimura scored the game's only goal and the Colorado Rapids nipped FC Dallas 1-0 Saturday in Major League Soccer action. The two Western Conference clubs battled to a stalemate through the first 79 minutes before Kimura scored his second goal of the season with just over 10 minutes to play. Rapids midfielder Mehdi Ballouchy controlled the ball inside the Dallas penalty area before sending the ball to Kimura making a run behind the defense.
Nick LaBrocca and Kosuke Kimura scored their first goals of the season Saturday and the Colorado Rapids beat Real Salt Lake 2-0. The Rapids' first shutout of the 2009 MLS season pushed them into third place in the Western Conference at 3-2-2 -- two points ahead of Real Salt Lake (3-3-0). LaBrocca scored in the 11th minute off a feed from Colin Clark.
