The Red Wings won their sixth straight game, equaling their longest winning streak of the season. Marian Hossa had a five-game goal-scoring streak come to a halt, but he assisted on the goals by Hudler and Draper that lifted Detroit into a 3-1 lead. Ville Leino made it 4-1 with 2:45 to play in the second and Chris Osgood protected the advantage in the final period. Osgood stopped 21-of-23 shots to pick up his 18th win of the year.

Ty Conklin made 21 saves Thursday to record his fifth shutout of the season and bring Detroit a 4-0 victory over Los Angeles. Conklin has nine shutouts in a six-year NHL career that has been spent with four different teams.
