By Zeke Barlow, Ventura County Star, Calif. Mar. 25--The Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors voted today to keep Cachuma Lake open to fishing boats and install a number of measures to keep the invasive quagga mussel at bay.
Several California communities are banning recreational boats on inland waterways to keep out invasive quagga mussels. The mussels foul drinking water supplies and harm local fish populations, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.
