The Lakes Master Planned Community in Los Fresnos, Texas has announced the successful installation of the first wind-driven electric generator connection at a residence in the nearly 750-acre project.

By Kevin Sieff, The Brownsville Herald, Texas Jul. 9--In the sprawling neighborhoods north of Los Fresnos, front yards are blanketed with water. Five days of rain have left bicycles, lawn chairs and cars partially submerged, causing problems for residents who call the low-lying communities home.

The City Council of Los Fresnos, Texas approved a development agreement with the owners of 747 acres on the southeast part of this city of just over 5,000 residents, which contemplates the creation of some 2,200 housing units over the next 15 years.
