By MAUREEN CULLEY A POLICE unit is to be created at Edinburgh Airport, five months after the terror attack in Glasgow. The Pounds 2.5million team will have 44 officers, some of whom will be authorised to use firearms.

By NO BYLINE LOTHIAN and Borders Police has trained its 100th officer to use the new hand-held computers which are replacing their traditional notebooks. Officers working in the west of Edinburgh and within the road policing branch are among those now using the gadgets.
