The Lukoil Group has reported that total hydrocarbon production available for sale reached 2.21 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in the third quarter of 2008, a 4.1% increase, compared to the same period of 2007.

Lukoil-Volgogradneftepeprerabotka has acquired 31.3% of the charter capital of Russian power generation company, TGK-8, as a result of a mandatory offer. Following this, the Lukoil Group's interest in the charter capital of TGK-8 has reached 95.4%.

Russian oil major Lukoil has completed an evaluation and independent audit of its oil and gas reserves as of January 1, 2008, indicating a 4% growth in its proved hydrocarbon reserves in 2007 compared to 2006.

Russian oil major Lukoil's board of directors has approved the acquisition of an 82.3% controlling interest in electricity generator, TGK-8, by a Lukoil Group company. The transaction will be paid for in Lukoil treasury shares and cash.

Lukoil Group has reported that total hydrocarbon production available for sale was 2.18 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2007, up 36,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, compared to 2.14 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2006.
