Rasual Butler made six three-point shots Friday and produced 27 points to send the New Orleans Hornets coasting past the Los Angeles Clippers 107-80. The Hornets had lost two of their previous three games, but made 51 percent of their shots from the field and had no problem with the struggling Clippers after opening a 10-point lead through one period. James Posey added 16 points for New Orleans and Tyson Chandler had 13. The Clippers have lost 10 in a row and are one of four teams in the NBA this season that have yet to reach 10 victories.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 34 points Tuesday to help the Dallas Mavericks outslug the Los Angeles Clippers 107-102 with a fourth-quarter surge.

New York Knicks guard Cuttino Mobley ended his 11-year NBA career Thursday because of a worsening heart condition. The former second-round pick by the Houston Rockets out of Rhode Island in the 1998 NBA draft was acquired by the Knicks on Nov.

Baron Davis' 27 points and nine assists Saturday night spurred the Los Angeles Clippers' 107-84 win over Minnesota. LA led 29-15 entering the second period, and 55-41 at the half.
