Cowboys running back Marion Barber is going to miss a game or two with a thigh injury, KXAS-TV in Dallas reported Tuesday. The NFL team hasn't disclosed what effect the quadriceps injury will have on Barber's prospects for playing at home Monday against Carolina or the following Sunday at Denver. Barber, who was hurt late in Sunday night's loss to the New York Giants, has 203 yards and two scores on 32 carries.

Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber, suffering from a toe injury, may not be on the field for the upcoming game with the Philadelphia Eagles. Barber played in last week's game against the Baltimore Ravens, but spent much of the time on the sidelines with only two carries and one reception for 7 yards.

Tony Romo looked desperate early on, scrambling, rushing throws and doing all he could to avoid the Chicago defense. The only thing he didn't do was go away.

Wade Phillips threw a soft uppercut and smiled widely. He did it early, when his first gamble as coach of the Dallas Cowboys worked out - then again in the closing minutes, following a touchdown that also made him let out a big sigh of relief.
