Martin Havlat scored just 12 seconds into overtime Thursday, giving the Chicago Blackhawks a playoff-opening 3-2 victory over Calgary. The Blackhawks celebrated their first post-season game in seven years by twice coming from one goal down and then winning it on Havlat's second score of the contest.

Martin Havlat had a goal and an assist Friday and the Chicago Blackhawks clinched a playoff berth by defeating Nashville 3-1. The Blackhawks advanced to 95 points, the third best total in the Western Conference. Nashville, meanwhile, missed a chance to move into the eighth and final playoff spot.

Brent Seabrook scored with 1:25 remaining in overtime Friday, giving the Chicago Blackhawks a 3-2 decision over New Jersey. Seabrook took a feed from Martin Havlat and one-timed a shot from just inside the blueline that beat Martin Brodeur on the glove side. Havlat had a goal and two assists, helping the Blackhawks win three in a row after losing a season-worst five straight.
