BOSTON, Dec. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Bauer Hockey and The National Hockey League recently teamed up to donate more than 100 sets of hockey equipment to youth organizations in Boston and Philadelphia as part of the ongoing celebration leading up to the big game between the two teams on January 1.

Los Angeles overcame a 2-0 deficit after two periods when Michal Handzus (power play) and Drew Doughty both slipped shots by Boston netminder Tim Thomas in the third. Doughty's goal at 18:24 created a 2-2 tie before Brown's heroics set the Kings off on a successful start to a six-game road trip. Wayne Simmons had two assists and Jon Quick held Boston scoreless in the game's final 25 minutes, which gave the Kings their first road victory since they beat Minnesota 2-1 Feb.
