A bases-loaded walk to Andre Ethier brought in the eventual winning run Tuesday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 4-3 victory over Arizona. Ethier was the third player walked by Leo Rosales (1-1) in the seventh inning, which also included a double by Rafael Furcal. Matt Kemp had a solo home run for Los Angeles, who won for the fifth time in its last seven games and leads the National League West by 5 ½ games. Arizona's Justin Upton had three hits and extended his hitting streak to 10 games. Ronald Belisario (3-3) got the win in relief of Vicente Padilla.

The victory came after the Dodgers scrambled to tie the score with a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth after Oakland had scored four runs in the top of the inning to take a 4-2 lead. Guillermo Mota (3-1) set the Athletics down in order in the 10th for the win.

Kemp's second hit of the contest, and eighth home run this season, snapped a 1-1 tie with two outs in the top of the seventh inning. Rafael Furcal had one RBI and Orlando Hudson added two hits for the Dodgers, who have split their last four games. The winner was reliever Cory Wade (2-3) after starter Randy Wolf gave up two hits in five scoreless innings. Closer Jonathan Broxton, the last of five pitchers, earned his 15th save with a 1-2-3 ninth. Texas scored its run on a sixth-inning homer by Andruw Jones.
