By Robert Miller, The Dallas Morning News Nov. 30--The Dr. Bob and Jean Smith Foundation has donated $250,000 to the Medical City Foundation and $250,000 to the hospital's Cardiopulmonary Research Science and Technology Institute.

Byron and Marsha Hooper agreed that the birth of their first child deserved a hospital room with all the extras: high-speed internet, two flat screen TVs and plenty of space.
