A message posted on Melanie Chisholm's Web site says the British pop singer has given birth to a daughter in London. The baby girl, who was born Sunday, is the first child for former Spice Girl Chisholm and her boyfriend of more than six years, Thomas Starr, E! Online noted. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, the Web site said.

SPICE Girl Mel C is expecting her first baby. The Widnes-born star, whose real name is Melanie Chisholm, and her partner of six years, property developer Thomas Starr, are said to be "delighted".
