Michael Robinson, credited with transforming Washington's National Zoo into a hospitable place for both humans and animals, has died of pancreatic cancer at 79.
Michael Robinson, executive vice president and administrator of Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, now also heads Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital. Robinson had served as interim administrator of Richmond Community Hospital since last summer. The position became permanent Jan. 1.
