Mike Napoli doubled home Bobby Abreu with two out in the 10th inning Thursday, giving the Los Angeles Angels a dramatic 6-5 win over Minnesota. Los Angeles erased a two-run deficit in the ninth against closer Joe Nathan and then got to Jesse Crain in the 10th to win its sixth straight game. Jason Kubel hit a two-run homer in the first for Minnesota and added an RBI single in the sixth, helping the Twins built a 5-3 lead going into the bottom of the ninth. Nathan came on in a bid to earn his 27th save, but walked Abreu, hit Napoli with a pitch and gave up a run-scoring single to Gary Matthews.

Mike Napoli's ninth-inning solo homer Saturday led the Los Angeles Angels to a 2-1 inter-league victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Napoli's 10th homer this season was his third hit in the contest. Closer Brian Fuentes recorded his 21st save after winning pitcher Darren Oliver (2-0) pitched a scoreless eighth in relief of Angels' starter John Lackey, who allowed one run on five hits with three walks and nine strikeouts over seven innings. Tony Clark's fourth-inning sacrifice fly accounted for the only run for the Diamondbacks, who have lost four straight. The Angels tied the score in the sixth when Arizona committed two throwing errors on the same play.
