Ponikarovsky scored his 20th and 21st goals in the second period, one on the power play, and assisted on first period goals by Nikolai Kulemin and Mikhail Grabovski. Jason Blake scored his 25th goal of the season on the power play at 4:21 of the third.

Stephen Weiss had a goal and an assist Thursday night, helping the Florida Panthers halt a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Toronto. Ville Peltonen and Richard Zednik also scored for the Panthers and Tomas Vokoun made 37 saves. Florida swept the four-game season series from the Maple Leafs. Florida reached 80 points for the season and is just one point out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
