A LANARKSHIRE town is in line to get a new multi-million health centre. The facility, earmarked for Main Street, Coatbridge, will combine NHS care with council services.

KAREN Sheridan has become the first Macmillan head and neck cancer clinical nurse specialist at Monklands Hospital. NHS Lanarkshire and Macmillan Cancer Support have teamed up to fund the new post. Ms Sheridan has worked as an ear, nose and throat specialist at Monklands for the past 10 years.
