TRENTON - Friends of Acadia has announced it plans to buy the 369- acre Crippens Creek property on Route 3 where the proposed Acadia Gateway Center would be built. The Friends group will buy the property from the Atlanta-based Nacoochee Corp.
BAR HARBOR - Composting master Roland Ulrich will offer his expertise to the Mount Desert Island community Oct. 26-28 at College of the Atlantic and the college's Beech Hill Farm. At 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, Ulrich will present a talk on biodynamic composting in the college's McCormick Lecture Hall.
